The 17th annual Art & Photography exhibition held in Dunluce Parish, Bushmills, was a huge success, with more than 400 art lovers attending the event over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend (May 1-4).
See our Gallery below.
On the opening night, Ian Bickerstaff of Gallery 1608 introduced guest artist, Keith Glasgow, who is represented in Ian’s gallery on Main Street. Keith spoke from the heart about his own experiences as an artist and how he was inspired as a young boy by watching a man painting at an easel on a path along the North Coast – so it is fitting that he came back this weekend to where it all began!
The organisers say figures for this year were even better than in 2025; 40 artists and photographers took part and 66 of their works were sold, raising more than £4,000 for charity.
They expressed thanks to all the artists, volunteers, buyers and everyone who came to enjoy looking at the art and sampling the teas in the Drawing Room Café.
New this year, the children’s quiz proved a popular sleuthing game with young – and not so young – visitors!
Since the first exhibition in 2008, many thousands of pounds have been donated to various Christian charities. Including this year’s amount, over the last five years a total of £16,000 has been raised for the Bishops’ Appeal Fund, the Church’s World Aid and Development Programme.

You will be able to read more about this annual exhibition and its roots in the summer issue of our diocesan magazine Connor Connections (published in June).
Thanks to David Johnston for the photo gallery which really captures the spirit of the weekend.
